The Farm

Denis Gagnon and Nicole Cormier purchased the farm from the family of the late Mr Arthur Melanson, in the spring of 2011. After being run by Mr. Melanson for several decades, the orchard had been leased to a neighbouring orchard for the past 10 years.

Denis and Nicole, with a vision of continued growth, have begun running the orchard.

Our philosophy

The owners strive to produce apples in harmony with the locale flora and fauna by minimising the impact on the surrounding environment. The environmentally friendly production uses advanced Integrated Pest Management techniques.

No herbicides, antibiotics or hormones are used on the farm and in an effort to minimise the use of any chemical products during production.
Nicole and Denis are strong believers and supporters of the local food movement.

Peaceful environment

The orchard offers a quiet, peaceful and natural environment with big old apple trees. The older section of the orchard is characterised by the presence manignificent apple trees that are over 75 years old. It is a wonderful experience to stroll among and under these majestic old trees.
